Bay Area News Group girls athlete of the week: Alanna Clincy, Willow Glen

Willow Glen softball player Alanna Clincy is the Bay Area News Group’s girls athlete of the week for March 18-23.

In online voting that ended at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Clincy received 41.99% of the votes. Sacred Heart Prep lacrosse player Olivia Abbott finished second at 31.79%.

Congratulations to all the candidates for this week’s recognition.

Clincy, a sophomore, struck out eight in four innings and added a home run and three RBIs in a 13-1 win over Leigh. The Rams extended their winning streak to four after an 0-3 start.
