Suspect steals bag of Crocs from Campbell store

March 25

VANDALISM: 3:45 p.m. in the 600 block of Campbell Technology Parkway. Someone threw feces inside a vehicle.

PETTY THEFT: 5  p.m. in the 1300 block of Eden Avenue. A purse was stolen.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: 9:02 p.m. at South Winchester Boulevard and El Caminito Avenue. Officers were dispatched to a welfare check of a woman who showed objective signs and symptoms of alcohol intoxication and was found to be unable to care for herself.

March 26

DISORDERLY CONDUCT, VANDALISM: 7:36 a.m. in the 00 block of Cristich Lane. A man went to a business, broke the lock and jumped a locked chain link fence to retrieve his towed vehicle.

CHILD ABUSE, USE/ POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE: 9:59 p.m. in the 600 block of Beta Court. A man was found to be in possession of narcotics and drug paraphernalia, and to be under the influence of a controlled substance. A search of his residence revealed additional narcotics and ammunition. It was determined he and another suspect were endangering a 15-year-old.

March 27

HIT AND RUN: 4:20 p.m. in the 1600 block of South Bascom Avenue. A driver hit someone while backing out of a parking stall, causing minor injury.

CORPORAL INJURY: 8:20 a.m. in the 1000 block of Ravenscourt Avenue. During an argument, the victim sustained an injury to her face from the suspect grabbing her.

USE OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE: 6:48 p.m. in the 500 block of Railway Avenue. A man was reported as being at a resident’s front door and appeared to be under the influence of a controlled substance. He was found to be under the influence of a stimulant and placed under arrest.

ORGANIZED RETAIL THEFT: 5:05 p.m. in the 1700 block of South Bascom Avenue. Two suspects entered the store together and stole approximately $1,000 worth of merchandise, then fled the scene.

March 28

NARCOTICS POSSESSION: 12:25 a.m. at South Bascom and Camden avenues. A man was stopped for a vehicle code violation and was found to have a $100,000 felony warrant for domestic violence and a $25,000 misdemeanor DUI warrant. A search of his vehicle revealed presumed cocaine.

GRAND THEFT: 6:10 a.m. in the 2300 block of Winchester Boulevard. The suspect entered a store and stole two electronic devices valued at over $1200.

POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, PARAPHERNALIA: 11:18 p.m. in the 1300 block of Theresa Avenue. A man was reported as living out of his vehicle. He had drug paraphernalia in plain view upon contacting him, and there was also drug paraphernalia in the glovebox. He was also in possession of suspected fentanyl and methamphetamine.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: 7:17 p.m. in the 2300 block of Winchester Boulevard. A man was causing a disturbance and was found to be under the influence of alcohol and unable to care for himself.

March 29

POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, PARAPHERNALIA: 1:45 a.m. at South Winchester Boulevard and East Hamilton Avenue. A man was stopped for vehicle code violations and was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia and narcotics.

ORGANIZED RETAIL THEFT, EVADING A PEACE OFFICER: 5  p.m. in the 1800 block of South Bascom Avenue. The suspect entered a business empty-handed, grabbed a duffle bag from inside the store and filled it with Croc shoes, then left without paying for a loss of approximately $239 worth of merchandise. An employee recognized the suspect from numerous prior incidents and desired prosecution. The suspect fled the scene in a 2005 Jaguar and evaded marked patrol vehicles with their emergency lighting equipment activated in a reckless and wanton disregard for the safety of persons or property. The suspect had five active warrants for his arrest.

FALSE ID TO PO, POSSESSION OF PARAPHERNALIA: 11:53 p.m. at South Winchester Boulevard and East Hamilton Avenue. A man was stopped for a vehicle code violation and was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. He provided false ID to officers.

VEHICLE THEFT: 5 p.m. in the 900 block of Campisi Way. A white 22 BMW Z4 was stolen. The victim lost one key earlier in the week.

BURGLARY: 7:13 p.m. in the 900 block of Apricot Avenue. The suspect entered a house then fled after encountering the victim inside.

BATTERY WITH SERIOUS BODILY INJURY: 4:36 p.m. in the 200 block of Cherry Lane.  Four suspects jumped  two victims and kicked and punched them in the face. One victim was rendered unconscious, and the other sustained an open laceration.

ORGANIZED RETAIL THEFT: 5:30 a.m. in the 1700 block of South Bascom Avenue. Five suspects entered an open business, concealed items on their person, paid for some of the items and exited the store.

USE/ POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE: 11:38 p.m. in the 2200 block of South Bascom Avenue. A man was contacted after causing a disturbance. He was in possession of drug paraphernalia and prescription pills belonging to someone else, and was found to be under the influence of a controlled substance.

March 31

VANDALISM: 3:22 a.m. in the 600 block of Campbell Technology Parkway. The suspect was walking around the area screaming, and a building’s window was found broken.

ASSAULT WITH A DEADLY WEAPON: 2:16 a.m. in the 1700 block of South Bascom Avenue. The victim was stabbed once in the back with a knife and sustained a laceration. The suspect fled on foot prior to officers’ arrival.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: 1:22 a.m. at Union Avenue and Duncanville Court. A woman was stumbling southbound on Union Avenue and was found to be under the influence and unable to care for herself. She was transported to sobering station.

POSSESSION OF PARAPHERNALIA: 3:52 p.m. in the 1300 block of Theresa Avenue. A woman was contacted in a vehicle and found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia.

FIGHT IN A PUBLIC PLACE, VANDALISM: 6:18 p.m. in the 200 block of Echo Avenue. The suspect banged on the door, demanding to see someone who wasn’t home, then challenged the victim to a fight. When the victim didn’t come out, the suspect smashed a rock on the victim’s vehicle, causing over $400 in damage to the windshield, then fled the scene.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: 11:09 p.m. in the 300 block of Budd Avenue. A woman was contacted due to a disturbance. She was found to be unable to care for herself due to alcohol intoxication and placed under arrest.

April 1

ARSON: 2:22 a.m. in the 2300 block of Winchester Boulevard. A man was lying next to a stack of burning pallets behind a business. He admitted to starting the warming fire.

DUI: 12:56 a.m. at Salice Way and Rose Court. A man  was stopped for a vehicle code violation and found to be under the influence of alcohol.
