PETTY THEFT: 3:02 p.m. in the 1800 block of South Bascom Avenue. Someone stole about $250 worth of merchandise.
ANNOYING CALLS TO 911: 2:15 p.m. in the 600 block of Virginia Avenue. Someone called 911 four times in 10 hours without reporting any crime.
UNDER INFLUENCE OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE: 8:56 a.m. in the 700 block of Camden Avenue. A man was reported to be pacing around and punching the air. He was found found to be under the influence of narcotics and in possession of drug paraphernalia.
CHILD ABUSE: 2:30 p.m. in the 1900 block of South Bascom Avenue. A caller reported possible child endangerment. The suspect displayed signs and symptoms of being under the influence of alcohol and was naked from the waist down. Items were strewn around the hotel room, including multiple empty bottles of wine. The victim was left alone in the room for several hours and asked hotel staff where she was.
DUI: 7:49 p.m. at West Rincon Avenue and Salice Way. A man was contacted during a vehicle enforcement stop and found to be DUI.
April 2
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: 11:47 a.m. in the 1300 block of Munro Avenue. Officers responded to a report of multiple people yelling. The suspect had thrown an object at the victim, causing visible injury.
ELDER ABUSE: in the 2100 block of South Winchester Boulevard. A caller reported an incident where a worker struck an elderly resident.
EXHIBITING DEADLY WEAPON: 8:22 a.m. in the 700 block of East McGlincy Lane. Someone brandished a firearm while at work.
ROBBERY: 7:26 p.m. in the 3600 block of South Bascom Avenue. Someone ordered pizza and forcefully grabbed it out of the victim’s hands when she delivered it to the residence. The suspect slammed the door in the victim’s face and closed the blinds.
April 3
ASSAULT WITH A DEADLY WEAPON: 4:03 p.m. in the 200 block of Wilton Drive. The victim had visible external injuries to her forehead and upper lip and claimed a man had punched her in the head, strangled her with two hands around her neck, and pushed a pillow on the back of her head as she was face down on the mattress. The man had two active warrants for his arrest.
UNDER INFLUENCE OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE: 8:32 a.m. in the 2300 block of Winchester Boulevard. A man was contacted after walking into oncoming traffic. He displayed objective signs and symptoms of being under the influence of a controlled substance and was in possession of drug paraphernalia.
ATTEMPTED MURDER: 3:10 a.m. in the 1300 block of South Baywood Avenue. During an argument, a man chased and stabbed the victim, causing minor injuries.
April 4
VANDALISM, BATTERY WITH SERIOUS BODILY INJURY, ROBBERY: 3:31 p.m. in the 200 block of Llewellyn Avenue. The suspect ripped an access panel off of a wall, then pushed the victim toward the wall and ripped her key card off of her person. The victim fell to the ground, injuring her ankle, then fled. The suspect was booked into juvenile hall.
April 5
RETAIL THEFT: 5:02 p.m. in the 1800 block of South Bascom Avenue. A woman entered a business with numerous bags in her hand. She filled the empty bags with perfume and clothes and passed all points of sale without paying for approximately $456.93 worth of merchandise.
DUI: 7:40 a.m. in the 600 block of Almarida Drive. Officers contacted a woman who sustained injuries after her vehicle collided with a tree. She was found to be under the combined influence of alcohol and a stimulant.
POSSESSION OF PARAPHERNALIA: 6:06 a.m. in the 2000 block of South Bascom Avenue. A man had drug paraphernalia in his hand and admitted to possessing more in his jacket.
April 6
POSSESSION OF A SWITCHBLADE IN VEHICLE, CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE FOR SALE: 1:34 p.m. at Silacci and Gwen drives. A man was passed out in a vehicle. He was found to be in possession of five separate individual knotted baggies containing methamphetamine, each baggy approximately an ounce. He was also in possession of marijuana and had $751 on his person in numerous denominations. He had drug paraphernalia inside his vehicle, along with a switchblade, three throwing knives and other people’s personal identifying information written on two pieces of paper and a driver’s license not in his name. Officers conducted a search at his residence and found more drug paraphernalia, marijuana, credit cards and checks not in his name.
FALSE IMPRISONMENT, VEHICLE THEFT, BATTERY: 2 a.m. in the 200 block of Gomes Court. The victim’s boyfriend threatened to kill her, pinning her body down with his against her will for five minutes. He stole her keys and car to prevent her from leaving her house.
BURGLARY: Noon in the 200 block of West HAMILTON Avenue. Someone broke into an apartment and stole approximately $400 worth of jewelry, causing approximately $400 worth of damage to the front door.
BURGLARY: 6 p.m. in the 2300 block of Winchester Boulevard. Someone forced entry into a business and stole approximately $1,300.
April 7
DUI: 1:43 a.m. at East Hamilton Avenue and Creekside Way. A man was involved in a solo vehicle collision. He displayed objective symptoms of alcohol intoxication and admitted to consuming alcohol. He was found to be DUI.
ARSON: 3 p.m. in the 2000 block of Winchester Boulevard. Someone used an incendiary device to start a fire in a dumpster in the back parking lot of the business.
BURGLARY: 11:08 a.m. in the 1200 block of Colleen Way. A vehicle was broken into by multiple suspects, one of whom was armed with a handgun. About $1,000 worth of tools were stolen from the vehicle.
MAIL THEFT: 9:30 p.m. in the 100 block of Echo Avenue. Someone was interrupted attempting to steal mail and fled.
BURGLARY: 2 a.m. in the 300 block of California Street. Someone entered a residence under construction and stole two water heaters valued at $5,000 and one double oven valued at $4,000.
