A person who was hit and killed by a BART train last week has been identified by authorities.

Sonny Jones-Lathan, 32, of San Pablo, was hit by the train about 6 p.m. on May 15 at the El Cerrito del Norte station. He died at the scene.
The collision shut down the station for about an hour. AC Transit busses provided transportation for customers during that time, making stops at the Richmond, El Cerrito del Norte and El Cerrito Plaza stations, according to BART.
