OAKLAND — A massive fire was burning Sunday evening at a lumber yard in East Oakland, fire officials said.
Firefighters responded to the blaze at Economy Lumber, located at 750 High Street, and it quickly grew to a four-alarm fire at about 8:30 p.m.
Oakland Fire Department spokesperson Michael Hunt said no injuries have been reported. The blaze appears contained to the lumber yard, he said.
OFD is advising people in the area to stay inside and close doors and windows to prevent smoke exposure.
