OAKLAND — Three people including two teenage juveniles were shot to death in two separate incidents early Monday, police said.
The three killings bring to 40 the number of homicides Oakland police have investigated in 2024.

The second of the two shootings happened a little after 2 a.m. Police said an 18-year-old and a 17-year-old were found wounded in the 1300 block of 102nd Avenue near International Boulevard.
An ambulance rushed the 18-year-old to a hospital, where he died about 3:15 a.m., police said. Other transportation from civilians got the 17-year-old to a hospital. Police said medics pronounced him dead about 2:50 a.m.
The first shooting killed a 16-year-old male who was found fatally shot in the 900 block of Filbert Street in West Oakland about 1:25 a.m., police said. Authorities pronounced him dead at the scene.
Police said they do not have a motive or a suspect for either shooting.
