FREMONT – Firefighters on Tuesday evening were battling a three-alarm wildfire in the East Bay.

The fire was reported around 4 p.m. at Stevenson Boulevard and Eureka Drive, on the Newark-Fremont border, the Alameda County Fire Department said in a social media post.
Aid was requested from the Oakland and Hayward fire departments, according to authorities.
The fire department said Union Pacific halted trains due to them fire.
