SAN MARTIN — A 5-acre wildfire was threatening homes Thursday night in San Martin, authorities said.

The Columbet Fire broke out around 5:50 p.m. at Columbet and East Middle avenues.
“Structures are threatened and homes are being evacuated,” the Cal Fire Santa Clara Unit said in a social media post.
As of 7:30 p.m., the blaze was 30% contained and crews were making “good progress,” Cal Fire said.
