MORGAN HILL — A magnitude 3.4 earthquake shook the South Bay on Thursday evening, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The quake struck at 6 p.m. about 15.4 miles northeast of Morgan Hill and at a depth of 4.3 miles, the USGS reported.

There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage.

The earthquake was felt as far away as South San Jose, according to the USGS.
