A boba shop based in the East Bay opened a new location in the Saratoga Village on Big Basin Way on July 12.
Teazentea, which offers a variety of fruit and milk teas and an array of coffee drinks, will be open daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. at 14410 Big Basin Way. Store manager Daniel Yang says Teazentea typically gets involved in the local community through efforts like backpack drives and donations, and he hopes to do the same in Saratoga after settling in.
Yang says business has been “exceeding expectations” since the soft opening on July 12. The shop is gearing up for its official grand opening on Aug. 3.

“Teazentea is a great new addition, and we want them to be successful,” Jill Hunter, president of the Saratoga Village Development Council, said in an email.
Yang says the company decided to open a location in Saratoga because of what they saw as a lack of similar shops in the area.
“We just wanted to bring a community over here that people enjoy and can hang out in,” he adds.
Teazentea’s arrival in the Saratoga Village comes as city leaders and members of the local community have been working to revitalize the city’s commercial areas, an effort that Yang says Teazentea hopes to eventually get involved in after the grand opening.
“We just want to try to get as in touch as we can with the community,” Yang says.
