A man test-driving an electric truck Sunday afternoon hit a salesperson in a Pacific Beach parking lot, sending the 31-year-old to a hospital with a fractured skull and brain bleed, San Diego police said.
It wasn’t immediately clear if the injury was life-threatening.

The incident happened around 1:30 p.m. on Mission Bay Drive near Grand Avenue, just south of a Mossy Ford dealership, although officials have not yet said what company the salesperson worked for.
The 54-year-old driver was in a 2024 Ford F-150 Lightning when he “shifted the vehicle into drive” and it “abruptly launched forward,” hitting the victim, according to police.
The incident remains under investigation.
