Himalayan Cuisine, a restaurant serving up Nepalese and North Indian fare since 2014 on Willow Pass Road, is under new management and undergoing a rebrand, shifting its menu to focus more on Indian fare.
Its new name is Masala House.
The changes include an expanded menu, according to manager Amar Kunwar. They’re leaning into a more extensive biryani selection, along with Indian street food and a mocktail selection that features drinks like the virgin mojito, cardamom sensation, pineapple mint sparkle and masala soda ($6-$7).
The restaurant also offers a number of vegan dishes and halal meats, he says.
Kunwar recommends the house chicken masala biryani, naan, chicken tikka masala and mango lassi — regarding the latter, he claims it’s the best in town.
