Commodores in Campbell
The Commodores will be holding down the “Nightshift” as the closing act of the Heritage Theatre’s 2024-25 season. The group is bringing its “Greatest Hits Tour – Live!” to the Campbell venue on April 5.
In addition to winning a Grammy Award for their song “Nightshift” in 1985, the Commodores have racked up seven No. 1 singles, five No. 1 albums, 20 Top 10 singles and 15 Top 10 albums over the course of the group’s 56-year career.
The group was formed in 1968 when all the members were in college at Tuskegee Institute. After being discovered by Berry Gordy, the Commodores went on to sell over 60 million records for Motown. Their hits include “Machine Gun,” “Sail On,” “Brick House” and “Easy.”
Tickets for the Campbell show are on sale now at 408-866-2700 or online at HeritageTheatre.org. The concert starts at 8 p.m. at the Heritage Theatre, located at the Campbell Community Center at 1 W. Campbell Ave.

Professional pet portrait artist Heather Kinney will lead a Paint Your Pet Night Sept. 26 at 6 p.m. at Woofboard, located at 389 E Campbell Ave. in downtown Campbell. Participants of all skills levels can bring their beverage of choice to sip while they paint pre-sketched canvases, but complimentary champagne will be provided.
Tickets are $75 at https://www.paintyourpetevents.com; 10% of the event proceeds will be donated to local animal shelters. Participants must submit photos of their pets by Sept. 22.
