Check forgery: Someone obtained a check mailed from the victim’s residence in the 12000 block of Aberdeen Court, and then altered and cashed the check for approximately $770.
Sept. 5
Mail theft: Between 9 p.m. on Sept. 4 and 7:30 a.m. on Sept. 5, someone pried open mailboxes on a multi-unit mailbox post for residences in the 18000 block of Westview Drive and stole mail of an unknown value.
Organized retail theft: At 3:22 p.m., deputies responded to a theft call at Safeway in the Argonaut Center on Saratoga-Sunnyvale Road. An investigation revealed three suspects entered the store, acted in concert and stole merchandise valued at approximately $336. One suspect was identified and contacted a short time later, and the stolen merchandise was recovered. That suspect was cited and released, while the two other suspects are unknown and at large.

Vehicle burglary, grand theft, possession of a stolen vehicle, reckless evading: At 4:13 a.m., suspects broke through windows of two vehicles, one parked in the 12000 block of Kristy Lane and one parked in the 19000 block of Melinda Circle, but only stole $30 from one of those vehicles. The same suspects also entered an unlocked vehicle parked on Melinda Circle and stole sunglasses valued at approximately $1,400. Deputies responded and located the suspects in a vehicle previously stolen from San Jose. They attempted to stop that vehicle, but the driver did not yield and recklessly evaded. The pursuit was ultimately terminated in the interest of public safety.
Sept. 9
Vandalism: Between Aug. 23 and 24, someone put glue in the electric vehicle wall mount charger for a residence at the Gatehouse condominium complex on Fourth Street, damaging the charge port of a vehicle plugged into the mount. The total amount of damage was approximately $631.
Vandalism: Between Sept. 3 and Sept. 5, someone pried open the mailbox of a residence in the 12000 block of Jolene Court, causing about $200 in damage. No mail was reported stolen.
Organized retail theft, false license plate: At 11 p.m., a suspect entered Safeway in the Argonaut Center on Saratoga-Sunnyvale Road and stole merchandise valued at approximately $2,300. The suspect fled the scene in a waiting getaway vehicle, which displayed a license plate not belonging to the vehicle.
Sept. 12
DUI, unlicensed driver: At 2:41 a.m., deputies stopped a motorist at Saratoga Avenue and Lawrence Expressway for traffic violations. An investigation revealed the motorist was driving under the influence of alcohol without a license. The suspect was arrested.
Sept. 13
Residential burglary: Between 7 p.m. on Sept. 12 and 2:45 p.m. on Sept. 13, someone cut a lock, pried open a door and entered the garage and shed of a residence that recently burned down in the 12000 block of Kosich Court.
Stolen vehicle, grand theft: At 4:48 a.m., someone stole a vehicle parked in the 13000 block of McCulloch Avenue. There were tools inside the vehicle with an approximate value of $10,000. The value of the vehicle itself was not provided.
Sept. 15
Vandalism: Between 11 a.m. on Sept. 14 and 8:30 a.m. on Sept. 15, someone pried open the back of a multi-unit mailbox bank for residences at the Vineyards of Saratoga on Vineyard Lane. It is unknown if any mail was stolen. The total amount of damage was approximately $2,000.
