Declining usage, cost-cutting and other factors have led to a big decrease in the number of blue neighborhood USPS mailboxes. So you may have to walk or drive a little further than usual if you are sending in your mail-in ballot for this year’s election.
Here’s an even quicker way to find your nearest mailbox:
— Use the USPS collection box finder. Simply input your location anywhere in the U.S, and select “Collection Boxes” from the drop-down menu.
Tip: Be sure your ballot is postmarked by Election Day Nov. 5 in order for it to be counted.
Alternatively, in California, vote-by-mail ballots can be returned at a drop-off location or your county elections office.
