See’s Candies will show off its newly renovated Saratoga shop with a public reopening celebration at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 26.
Besides the chain’s legendary free samples, the event will feature free gifts for the first 50 customers who shop that day at the Big Tree location, raffles for gift cards or a year’s worth of See’s Lollypops plus special offers.

The shop — which originally opened nearly six decades ago, on Feb. 1, 1966 — was closed for more than two months for the full renovation, which also involved adding some square footage to the sales space. Vintage photos line the spaces above the candy displays, and a screen shows footage from See’s candy-making operations.
See’s employee Tricia Telles, who will celebrate her 26th anniversary with the company on Halloween, loves the new look.
“It’s a happy, open space to get your chocolates,” said Telles, who has worked at this location for 16 years.
Her favorite See’s piece?
“Today it’s the Coffee Scotchmallow,” she said. “Tomorrow it will be something different.”
