Dead & Company are heading back to the desert.
The famed jam band — which is an offshoot of the Bay Area’s own Grateful Dead band — has announced plans for another 18 shows at the Sphere in Las Vegas. The gigs, which begin March 20 and run mostly on weekends through May 17, celebrate Dead & Company’s 10th anniversary.
And unlike the band’s previous “Dead Forever – Live At Sphere” residency in 2024 — where dates kept being added on the way to reaching a final tally of 30 gigs — these 18 shows are being billed as the only Dead & Co. Sphere dates for 2025.
“Fans can look forward to another incredible series of performances, featuring updated visuals that, with the unparalleled immersive experience of Sphere, will offer fans a unique experience representing the latest chapter in Dead & Company’s musical and experiential journey,” according to a news release.
Dead & Company Sphere tickets go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Dec. 13 and an artist presale starts at 10 a.m. Dec. 10, deadandcompany.com. Fans are encouraged to sign up for the presale in advance.

“Dead Forever – Live At Sphere” residency was incredibly successful, with Dead & Company — consisting of Dead alum Bob Weir on vocals and guitar and Mickey Hart on drums, as well as vocalist-guitarist John Mayer, bassist Oteil Burbridge, keyboardist Jeff Chimenti and drummer Jay Lane — drawing nearly half a million attendees over the course of 30 shows.
Dead & Company was the second band to perform at the state-of-art Sphere venue. The first act to hold a residency at this Las Vegas hotspot was U2, which we also reviewed. Phish and the Eagles are the other two bands to have performed at the venue.
The Eagles residency is currently underway and is set to continue through April 12. By that time, the Dead & Co. run will already have started. This is the first time that two residencies have overlapped at the Sphere.
