Lottery ticket worth $269,277 sold at Fremont store

FREMONT — Someone playing the Fantasy 5 lottery game at a convenience store here won $269,277 Wednesday night, officials said.

The unknown person was one of two statewide to pick all five game numbers, which were 7, 14, 16, 19 and 26, thus splitting the $538,554 top prize.

Person wins almost $120,000 after buying lottery game ticket at an East Bay market

The Fremont ticket was sold at the Rocket convenience store, 2950 Auto Mall Parkway, officials said. The other was sold at a Long Beach gas station.

An employee answering the phone at the Rocket store Thursday morning she had not been aware the ticket had been sold there or who purchased it. But she did say, “I am excited for the customer and the store.”

The winner has 180 days from the day of the draw to claim their prize.

Fantasy 5 is played every night of the week. Thursday night’s top prize will be at least $75,000, officials said.
