OAKLAND — Firefighters found a person dead inside a recreation vehicle after a fire broke out in the RV at a camp in West Oakland early Monday, officials said.

Crews responded about 3:20 a.m. to 34th and Wood streets and arrived to find the RV fully engulfed in flames, according to Oakland Fire spokesperson Michael Hunt.
After crews extinguished the blaze, the found a male dead inside, Hunt said.
Authorities did not identify that person immediately. The Alameda County Coroner’s Office responded to the scene.
No other information was available immediately.
