For the second year, restaurants in Hayward are enticing food lovers with the opportunity to save money while discovering new places and revisiting old favorites.
Hayward Restaurant Month promotions will be offered through January.
The deals can provide a boost for restaurateurs during what is normally a slow month after the busy holiday season. “Last year’s promotion was well-received by customers and businesses alike, with several restaurant owners saying they saw sales increases compared to previous Januarys,” said Paul Nguyen, chief economic development officer for the city of Hayward.
Under a new partnership, Yelp created a web page featuring the Hayward Restaurant Month participants and their offerings. Here is the opening list, with more restaurants expected to join:
Aama’s Kitchen: Tandoori Chicken Wings and Buffalo Chicken Wings are $9.99 this month. Plus, every dine-in customer gets a free order of Papadum.
Acqua e Farina: Free dessert (panna cotta or gelato) when you order the daily special and mention Restaurant Month.
Alicia’s Tamales Los Mayas: Get three tamales and a 16-ounce container of salsa for $15.
Amici’s East Coast Pizzeria: Use the code HAYWARD to receive $5 off any order of $25-plus made through the website or mobile app.
A. Romo’s Cafe: A Chipotle Chicken sandwich meal (includes chips and soda) is priced at $15 this month.
Blend It: Get 20% off a Protein Shake & Waffle or an Energy Drink & Waffle.
Cold Stone Creamery: Receive 15% off orders over $20 all month.
Country Waffles: New menu creations for the month include the Tuscan Feast Omelet; Almond Berry Bliss pancake/waffle topping; and Italian Crispy Chicken Sandwich with marinara.
El Taquito Restaurant: Free Stella Rosa wine when you order one of the 12 specialties.
Falafel Flare: Purchase an entree/platter and receive a free baklava or soda.
Golden Safari: The $20 pre fixe menu includes appetizer, main course and beverage. Main is Jollof Rice with choice of protein (chicken, fish or beef) and a side (mixed veggies, fried plantains or beans).
Gurkha Kitchen: Buy any Momo and get a free Mango Lassi, Nepali beer or soft drink. Also, all orders of Butter Chicken will come with free naan or rice.
Illegal Burgers: Get 25% off any Burger Meal, Wrap Meal, Gyro Meal or Philly Steak Meal.
Los Dos Hermanos: Get three tacos and a beverage for $10 or two quesabirria tacos with rice, beans and beverage for $15.
