Two victims hospitalized following Oakland shooting

OAKLAND — Two victims were transported to a local hospital following a shooting in Oakland on Sunday morning, according to authorities.

At least three people were sitting in a car on 77th and Garfield avenues when someone allegedly shot at the vehicle in what authorities described as a random attack. The shooting took place at 4:47 a.m.

One of the people in the car, whose condition in unknown, drove the gunshot victims, an 18-year-old woman and 19-year-old man, to a local hospital, authorities said. The man is in critical condition. The woman’s condition is unknown.

No arrests have been made, and no suspect information has been released by police.
