A federal indictment unsealed Friday, Jan. 17, alleges that Oakland’s former Mayor Sheng Thao, her longtime romantic partner and the owners of a waste company were involved in a bribery scheme that influenced city government.
The charges include conspiracy, bribery, mail fraud and making false statements to authorities, court records show.
Below is the indictment naming Thao, Andre Jones, David Trung Duong and Andy Hung Duong.
