What is a CX-90? The CX-90 is a 3 row midsize SUV built in the Hofu, Japan assembly plant and sold in North America by Mazda. The 2025 CX-90 is the largest SUV that Mazda makes, and it has flexible seating options, with a 2nd row bench seat, or dual captain’s chairs, and an optional 2nd row center console. The CX-90 has 15.9 cubic feet of initial cargo space, with additional space under the cargo floor, and much more with the rear seats folded down and it can tow up to 5,000 pounds when properly equipped.

The CX-90 has a premium feel with a long hood, a set back passenger cabin, and details like dashboard stitching inspired by Japanese bookbinding. It’s considered a premium upscale vehicle in the midsize SUV class.

The tagline for Mazda’s current advertising campaign is Driving Matters. This tagline aligns with Mazda’s philosophy of making cars for people who enjoy driving. Mazda’s new brand platform is Move and Be Moved. This tagline was introduced in 2024 as part of a brand transformation for the company and Mazda has the long standing motto, Zoom-Zoom; which is being revived for 2025. Mazda uses these slogans in their ad campaigns to show the emotional connection between the driver and the car. It’s a way of life for Mazda, and it’s all about power, emotion, connection, and It Just Feels Right.
