OAKLAND — Two men were wounded in unrelated shootings here on Wednesday, one outside McClymonds High School in West Oakland, authorities said.
Both men were in stable condition, authorities said.

The West Oakland shooting in the 2600 block of Myrtle Street outside McClymonds High School happened about 12:24 p.m. Wednesday.
Initial reports were that some men who had no connection to the school got into a verbal dispute that ended in shots being fired, police said.
A 27-year-old man was wounded in the leg. He got his own transportation to a hospital.
Whether the man was actually involved in the dispute or happened to be walking by and was hit by a stray bullet is under investigation, authorities said.
A motive for the shooting has not been determined yet. No arrests have been announced and no suspect information has been released.
The school was placed on lockdown by police until it was determined there were no armed suspects in the area.
The other shooting, that left a 23-year-old man wounded in the leg, happened about 9:42 p.m. Wednesday in the 2100 block of 23rd Avenue in East Oakland.
The man told police he had just left a store when he heard gunfire, ran back inside the store and realized he had been shot. he got a ride from another person to a hospital.
Police said the store and two unoccupied vehicles were also hit by bullets, but no one else was injured. Multiple shell casings were recovered in the area, police said.
A motive for the shooting is under investigation. No suspect information has been released.
