Bay Area News Group boys athlete of the week: Jacob Livermore, Liberty wrestling

Liberty wrestler Jacob Livermore is the Bay Area News Group’s boys high school athlete of the week for Feb. 3-8.

In online voting that ended at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Livermore finished with 31.83% of the vote. Berkeley soccer player Alfredo Munoz took second and Valley Christian basketball player Teniola Bamisebi was third.

Congratulations to all the candidates for this week’s recognition.

Livermore, a junior, got pins in matches against Granada and De La Salle at the North Coast Section dual meet and helped the Lions win the NCS dual meet title for the first time since 2009. Livermore is currently the 35th-ranked wrestler in the state at 138 pounds.
