Farmers’ market returns
Saratoga’s Wednesday farmers’ market reopened Feb. 5 after a seven-week break.
Vendors will be set up selling seasonal produce from local farmers from 2-6 p.m. at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 12770 Saratoga Ave. The market is located in the church’s east parking lot, with plenty of parking available.

Montalvo Arts Center has selected 25 musicians and composers from around the world for its Sally and Don Lucas Artists Program, a three-month fellowship for emerging artists. Fellows specialize in music from genres from folk to hip hop, and hail from countries like South Korea, Italy and the United States.
“The Lucas Artists Residency Program is the soul of Montalvo,” said executive director Angela McConnell. “It is one of the key ways in which we reaffirm our mission to engage the community in the creative process and has gained us international recognition as a creative incubator and a model of curatorial practice.”
Lunar New Year at Hakone
Stop by Hakone Estate and Gardens to celebrate Lunar New Year on Sunday, Feb. 23.
The event, set for 11 a.m.-3 p.m., will feature cultural performances and a puppet show, and food and drinks will be available for purchase. The opening ceremony, complete with a lion dance, will take place at noon.
