While serving a search warrant Wednesday in Santa Rosa, Sonoma County sheriff’s deputies said they found 7 grams of fentanyl in a room with a 2-year-old child inside.

Deputies served warrants Wednesday night and Thursday morning at two homes allegedly connected to fentanyl distribution.
The first warrant was served at a house in the 3000 block of Shadowhill Drive in Santa Rosa. Talis Noel, 48, allegedly had about 2 ounces of fentanyl, with smaller amounts of cocaine, and methamphetamine.
Officers also allegedly found a rifle, shotgun and a semi-automatic pistol inside the home, along with an additional 7 grams of fentanyl in the living room with the 2-year-old child.
Noel was arrested on suspicion of possession of fentanyl/cocaine for sale, possession of methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance while armed with a loaded firearm, concealing drugs in a false compartment, operating a drug house, being a prohibited person in possession of firearms and ammunition, and child endangerment with likely great bodily injury.
Noel was still in custody Friday in lieu of $250,000 bail.
The second search warrant was served during a traffic stop in Santa Rosa and a homeless encampment in the 2000 block of Montgomery Drive in Santa Rosa.
Detectives contacted 54-year-old Capricia Moore and allegedly found about an ounce of fentanyl and 4 ounces of methamphetamine in her possession.
Moore was arrested on suspicion of possession and transportation of fentanyl and methamphetamine.
Officers serving the warrant at the encampment contacted 40-year-old Jacob Williams. Detectives allegedly saw Williams throwing away a bag containing fentanyl. Williams was arrested on suspicion of possession of narcotics with two prior drug convictions and an outstanding arrest warrant.
The suspects were booked into the Sheriff’s Main Adult Detention Facility.
