“We apologize for the inconvenience, but this theatre is temporarily closed for unforeseen maintenance. Please continue to check back here for updates,” the message on both the Saratoga and Eastridge locations.
Of course, two separate cinemas closing at the same time “for unforeseen maintenance” sounded a bit ominous and may have caused some to worry that the two theaters might be shuttering their doors for good. Yet, a representative from AMC was able to put those fears to rest on Monday morning.
“Just to be clear, these are temporary closures and are not connected,” AMC Theatres spokesman Ryan Noonan. “Over the weekend, both locations were impacted by unrelated issues, which require them to be closed until resolved.
“We are awaiting parts and third-party vendor support at both locations to make the necessary repairs and reopen. We do not yet have a specific reopening timeframe for either location, but we will keep guests updated via each theatre’s page on our website.”
