Burglars steal jewelry from three Saratoga homes

Feb. 24

Battery: At 2:56 p.m., deputies responded to an assault call at The Villas of Saratoga on Saratoga-Los Gatos Road. An investigation revealed the suspect pulled the victim’s hair and scratched the victim’s face two days prior. The suspect is known, and the complaint is being submitted to the district attorney’s office for review.

Residential burglary: Between 8:15 p.m. and 9:04 p.m., someone entered a residence in the 19000 block of Monte Vista Drive by breaking a rear glass door and stole jewelry and purses valued at approximately $16,500.

Feb. 25

Residential burglary: Between 2 p.m. on Feb. 24 and 9 a.m. on Feb. 25, someone entered a residence in the 19000 block of Lanark Lane by breaking a sliding glass door and stole jewelry of unknown value.

Feb. 26

DUI: At 11:59 p.m., deputies stopped a motorist at Saratoga-Sunnyvale Road and Thelma Avenue for traffic violations. An investigation revealed the motorist was driving under the influence of alcohol. The suspect was arrested and booked into main jail.

Feb. 27

Vehicle burglary, possession of burglary tools: At 3:33 a.m., deputies observed an unoccupied vehicle, left running with its doors open in the middle of the roadway, in the 18000 block of Dundee Avenue. The vehicle was parked next to another vehicle, which was found with a shattered window. Two suspects were located hiding nearby, in possession of burglary tools, and admitted to burglarizing the vehicle. Both suspects were arrested and booked into main jail.

March 1

Residential burglary: Between 8 p.m. on Feb. 28 and 12:10 a.m. on March 1, someone entered a residence in the 15000 block of Bellecourt Avenue by breaking a window and stole an unknown amount of jewelry.
