Compassionate chef
Vaibhav Sawant of Santana Row’s Fitoor Indian Grill and Lounge is one of three celebrity chefs competing in the 14th annual Chefs of Compassion, a fundraiser for West Valley Community Services (WVCS). The chefs will serve dishes at the March 28 event created entirely from ingredients from the WVCS pantry, which normally provides food to the Cupertino-based nonprofit’s clients. A panel of judges will name the winner, and attendees will choose their favorite.
Chefs of Compassion is set for 6 p.m. at the Computer History Museum in Mountain View. Tickets are $185 at https://www.chefsofcompassion.org/tickets/2025.
