The suspect, identified as a 22-year-old man, had been picked up in Spring Valley but allegedly told the driver that he had a gun and demanded that he be taken to a Lemon Grove dispensary on Harris Street.

The suspect was arrested but was not found in possession of a gun.

The victim was not seriously injured.

The suspect was arrested on suspicion of kidnapping, robbery, false imprisonment, dissuading a victim and preventing a victim from contacting 911.
