Already a five-time national champion, Eunice Lee qualified to be on the U.S. National Jump Rope Team at last month’s trials in Chapel Hill, NC. Lee won the 3-minute speed endurance competition with 481 jumps counting only the right foot and qualified to compete in that event and two others on the world jump rope stage.

Sharing her passion with others, Lee formed the first jump rope club at Milpitas High earlier this year, called MHS Trojan Ropers. It is a recreational jump rope club with 20 student members who also train for performances at school.

Lee has set up a GoFundMe campaign to cover her expenses for the international competition at https://bit.ly/4bX79L1.

Retro Roadshow

The Retro Roadshow Pop-Up Museum of Vintage Technology is pulling into the Milpitas Library on March 30 for “Tales from the Orchard,” an exploration of Apple’s history and its far-reaching influence.

The interactive journey through the history of Apple, and several notable spin-off companies, is set for 2-5 p.m., with a special focus on intriguing, influential and often overlooked products. Following the presentation, participants can get hands-on experience with a variety of functional vintage computers, including classic Apple II and Macintosh systems, a rare NeXT Cube, an ultra-rare BeBox, General Magic devices and more.

This program is part of the Santa Clara County Library District’s Silicon Valley Reads 2025 event schedule. For more information, visit https://bit.ly/4kQP994.
