SAN JOSE – The San Jose Sharks have signed college free agent and left-shot defenseman Noah Beck to a one-year entry-level contract for next season.
Beck’s deal, per PuckPedia, carries a $975,000 salary cap hit at the NHL level. He will also join the San Jose Barracuda on an amateur tryout for the rest of this season.
Beck, who turned 24 on Tuesday, spent this past season as a graduate student at Arizona State where he had 33 points in 37 games for the Sun Devils and was a second-team All-NCHC selection.
Beck, listed at 6-foot-3 and 206 pounds and a native of Richmond Hill, Ontario, was a seventh-round draft pick of the St. Louis Blues in 2020. He then spent four seasons at Clarkson University from 2020 to 2024 and had 56 points in 124 games.
