Person in wheelchair possibly hit by BART train in Berkeley

The solo-vehicle collision was first reported around 1:20 p.m. at Monterey and Metcalf roads, near Highway 101, the San Jose Police Department said in a social media post.

Southbound Monterey Road at Metcalf Road will be closed during the police investigation, authorities said. Commuters were advised to use alternate routes.

“Commute traffic will be severely impacted,” police said.
