Yes, we know it’s still only summer. Yet, that certainly isn’t going to stop us from looking forward to the great Michael W. Smith bringing his 2024 Every Christmas Tour to town this holiday season.
Now, all we have to do is wait (and wait) until Dec. 5, which is the date that the multiplatinum-selling Christian music star will perform his Christmas show at the San Jose Civic. (He also has a tour date on Dec. 4 at the SAFE Credit Union Performing Arts Center in Sacramento.)
Smith will be performing from his extensive catalog of Christmas music, which includes 2014’s chart-topping “The Spirit of Christmas.”
“Christmas is always my favorite time of year,” Smith says in a news release. “It’s a time that families are intentional about coming together and celebrating the reason for the season. I’m honored that so many people consider our tour dates part of their Christmas traditions. I cannot wait to share these songs and some special surprises as we go across the entire country.”
The Grammy-winning performer will be accompanied on this holiday trek by Riley Clemmons, a terrific Nashville singer known for such tunes as “Broken Prayers” and “Better for It.”

“Michael has been the soundtrack of my Christmases, so this is genuinely a complete dream come true for me,” Clemons says of joining Smith for this holiday tour. “He’s also been a long-time inspiration to me as both a songwriter and musician. It’ll be quite surreal and full circle to take the stage alongside him and his incredible band singing beloved Christmas songs together. I mean it when I say I couldn’t be more excited. Nothing is more Christmassy than Christmas with Michael W. Smith.”
