Attempted petty theft, under the influence of a controlled substance: At 4:33 p.m., deputies responded to a disturbance at the Saratoga French Cultural Preschool on Saratoga Avenue. An investigation revealed the suspect entered the campus and attempted to steal a sleeping bag, but the act was interrupted by an employee. The suspect, who displayed symptoms of being under the influence of a controlled substance, was arrested and booked into main jail.

Robbery: At 10:50 a.m., two suspects in a vehicle pulled over and contacted two pedestrians walking in the 18000 block of Bucknall Road, then asked for directions, and ultimately put fake jewelry on the victim while removing the victim’s necklace for a loss valued at approximately $4,000.
DUI, non-injury collision: At 7:34 p.m., deputies responded to a solo vehicle collision in the 21000 block of Mt. Eden Road where a motorist crashed into a tree. An investigation revealed the motorist was driving under the influence of alcohol. The suspect was arrested and booked into main jail.
