Blake Lively dons Britney Spears’ 2002 Versace gown for ‘It Ends With Us’ premiere

Who wore it best? Blake Lively channeling Britney Spears Tuesday when she donned one of the pop princess’ “actual” early aughts looks for the New York City premiere of “It Ends With Us.”

The “Gossip Girl” alum, 36, nodded to another of Spears’ throwbacks when she told People she feels “so lucky” to sport the vintage 2002 floral Versace gown.

“It is Britney’s actual dress,” said Lively. “It should be in the Smithsonian or the Met. But it’s on me. I feel so lucky!”

Lively further reflected on the impact of “ultimate queen” Spears in an Instagram Story.

“The ultimate queen who made us all want to sparkle and write and share our stories,” Lively captioned a photo of the “Stronger” singer laughing in the gown.

“Britney, us millennials all have a story of a moment, or of years that you made us want to shine and inspire awe, with strength, and joy and immensely hard work. Thank you for your example and your contribution to women telling their stories,” said Lively. “So excited about your Biopic and all you have to come.”

Lively’s red carpet and Instagram tributes come just days after multiple outlets reported — and Spears confirmed — that her October 2023 memoir, “The Woman in Me,” will get the big screen treatment.

The biopic will be helmed by Jon Chu and produced by Marc Platt, the team behind the long-awaited two-part film adaptation of “Wicked.” Part 1 hits theaters this December.

The best-selling book pulls back the curtain on Spears’ infamous media moments as well as her relationship with Justin Timberlake and more than decade-long conservatorship, largely orchestrated by her dad, Jamie Spears. “The Woman in Me” audiobook, narrated by Oscar nominee Michelle Williams, is publisher Simon & Schuster’s fastest selling title ever in the format.
