Shake Shack, the New York City-born cult favorite, is expanding its footprint in the South Bay, with two restaurants in the works.
The company has confirmed that one will be in the Westgate area, where a former Men’s Wearhouse building on Saratoga Avenue is being transformed into a restaurant.
The previously announced location will open at Bascom Square near the the eBay headquarters and the Campbell city border. Shake Shack is renovating a restaurant space that for years was home to a Boston Market.
Both Shake Shacks are expected to welcome their first customers later this year. Two opened last December in the Bay Area: One at Oakridge Mall in South San Jose and another at the Stonestown Galleria in San Francisco.

At all Shake Shacks in the Bay Area, a late-summer deal offers customers a free shake every Friday, through Sept. 6, when they spend $10. Use code SWEETSPOT online, on the app or at a one of the customer order kiosks at the restaurants. Seasonal flavors include Peaches and Cream, Chocolate Salted Caramel and Strawberry Frosted Donut.
The fast-casual eatery was founded as a hot-dog cart in a New York City park but quickly became known for its all-natural Angus beef burgers. However, there’s still an all-natural Vienna beef “flat-top dog” on the menu — along with cage-free chicken sandwiches, crinkle-cut French fries and hand-spun milkshakes.
