The popular relationship podcast “Call Her Daddy” and host Alex Cooper are signing a multi-year agreement with SiriusXM, effectively ending an exclusive partnership with Spotify.
This new deal is worth $125 million over three years, and more than doubles Cooper’s previous agreement with Spotify, where she had signed a $60 million contract in 2021, reported CNN.
The transition marks a significant shift in the podcasting landscape; “Call Her Daddy” was Spotify’s second most popular podcast in 2023, only trailing behind The Joe Rogan Experience.
Under the terms of the new agreement, SiriusXM will have exclusive advertising rights to Call Her Daddy starting in 2025, along with other content and events associated with Cooper’s Unwell Network.
This network includes several podcasts such as “Hot Mess” with Alix Earle, “Pretty Lonesome” with Madeline Argy, “Boyfriend Material” with Harry Jowsey, and “In Your Dreams” with Owen Thiele.
Despite the new partnership, “Call Her Daddy” and other Unwell Network content will remain available on Spotify, while SiriusXM picks up the ad sales rights.
Cooper wrote of her excitement about the new deal Tuesday, stating, “The Daddy Gang will always be my top priority, and with SiriusXM, we will continue to find new ways to evolve and provide my listeners the best experience. The Daddy Gang wants more, so we’re getting ready to give them more… I can’t wait for this new chapter to begin.”
Since launching in 2018 with former co-host Sofia Franklyn, the podcast has featured celebrity guests including Zayn Malik, Christina Aguilera, Miley Cyrus, and Rebel Wilson, and has become the No. 1 podcast for women globally on Spotify.
