ANTIOCH — Firefighters were battling a blaze that erupted at an Antioch townhome on Wednesday afternoon, officials said.
The fire at the home on Justin Place was reported at about 1:20 p.m. When crews arrived, they found an active fire in the second-story bedroom of the condominium, according to the Contra Costa Fire Protection District.
Fire Capt. Chris Toler said 27 firefighters responded to the residence and as of 3 p.m. remained at the fire scene, which is near James Donlon and Contra Loma boulevards.
The cause of the fire is unknown and no injuries were immediately reported.
