Cupertino holds series of budget-related outreach events

Cupertino city staff is holding in-person budget-related outreach at various locations throughout the city this month. Community engagement booths will be set up Saturday, April 6, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Friday, April 12, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., in front of Cupertino Library for residents and business owners to ask questions about the city’s budget process for the 2024-25 fiscal year. A booth will also be set up Saturday, April 20, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., on the Cupertino Library field during the city’s Earth and Arbor Day Festival.

Registration is required for a series of community budget focus groups. Two focus groups are set for Tuesday, April 9, the first from 9-10:30 a.m. in Cupertino City Hall’s conference room C and the second from noon to 1:30 p.m. in the Quinlan Community Center conference room.  Another is set for Wednesday, April 10, 4:30-6 p.m., at the Cupertino Library, room 101.

After holding a community budget meeting Feb. 29 about the city’s budget deficit, Cupertino is hosting another public discussion on the city’s finances on Thursday, April 11, 5-6:30 p.m. visit https://www.cupertino.gov/budgetoutreachevents for the Zoom link.

Helping neighbors rebuild

Rebuilding Together Silicon Valley is taking volunteer sign-ups for National Rebuilding Day on Saturday, April 27. Individuals and organizations can sign up to help low-income residents and nonprofits with maintenance and repairs. All skill levels are welcome.
