Taste of Campbell

The sixth annual Taste of Campbell Fundraiser benefiting the Campbell Community Emergency Response Team, or CERT, is set for April 27, 3-6 p.m., at the Campbell Community Center’s Orchard City Banquet Hall, 1 W. Campbell Ave.

Tickets are $50-$60 and include tastings of up to 20 different local wines, wine bottle sales below retail, local cuisine, live music and dancing, local beers, mocktails and a silent auction with more than 70 items.

Proceeds from this event help CERT pay for emergency supplies, equipment and training. For tickets and to register for the auction, visit Eventbrite.com.

Donate blood, plant a tree

During a month that honors Earth Day and Arbor Day, Stanford Blood Center(SBC) is pairing blood donations with environmental stewardship through its #GreenDonor campaign

For every blood donation made in April, including at the South Bay Donor Center in Campbell, SBC will work with Forestmatic to plant a tree, aiding reforestation projects in Uganda and contributing to economic stability in the region. Each donor will receive a unique tree ID to view in an online tracker to watch their tree grow.

In addition, every April donor will be automatically entered into a drawing to win a Yeti cooler filled with a selection of Yeti products, including Rambler mugs, Hondo base camp chairs and a half-gallon Rambler water jug, plus a $500 Whole Foods gift card.

For more information, visit stanfordbloodcenter.org/greendonor. Appointments can be made online at sbcdonor.org, via the SBC app or by calling 888-723- 7831 or texting to 999-777.
