Pelosi brings book tour to San Jose tonight

San Francisco Rep. Nancy Pelosi, the powerful speaker emerita of the House, will talk about politics, her personal journey, her legislative victories — and her new biography, “The Art of Power” — in a Monday, Aug. 26, event in San Jose.

Entrepreneur-philanthropist Laurene Powell Jobs will lead the conversation with Pelosi, which starts at 7 p.m. at the California Theatre downtown. Audience members may submit questions at registration.

The event is sponsored by Kepler’s Literary Foundation.

Some balcony seats are still available, Kepler’s in Menlo Park confirmed Sunday. Each $58.74 balcony ticket comes with a copy of the book. Section seating will be first come, first served.

No laptop bags, briefcases or backpacks will be allowed into the auditorium, the foundation noted.

Details: The California is located at 345 S. First St., San Jose. Tickets may be purchased online at Eventbrite.com.
