DISORDERLY CONDUCT: 600 block of East Campbell Avenue. A man was reported to be causing multiple disturbances at businesses. He was found to be intoxicated, and had multiple warrants.
BATTERY ON PERSON, RESISTING AN OFFICER: 900 block of Sobrato Drive. Officers responded to a report of a male who physically attacked the victim. Officers responded and circulated the area for the man, who had two active warrants for his arrest. Screaming was heard, and officers observed him actively choking the victim. He was guided to the floor, physically restrained and subsequently placed under arrest. During the booking process, he physically resisted officers and deputies.

DUI, EVADING OFFICER WITH WANTON DISREGARD FOR SAFETY: North Central Avenue and Civic Center Drive. A woman was observed driving the wrong way down a one-way street. An enforcement stop was initiated with lights and sirens. She continued to drive slowly, obeying the rules of the road before accelerating to a high rate of speed and running a red light. Her vehicle was later located at her residence. She was found to be DUI and arrested.

UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, PETTY THEFT: 1700 block of South Bascom Avenue. A man shoplifted alcohol from business. He was found to be under the influence of a controlled substance.
THEFT: 1200 block of Munro Avenue. The victim was scammed by sending approximately $28,000 cash via bitcoin to an unknown suspect.
PETTY THEFT : 500 block of East Hamilton Avenue. A man stole $39.98 worth of merchandise from a business.
Aug. 21
BURGLARY: 1800 block of South Bascom Avenue. Someone attempted to force entry into an exterior locked storage area.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT: Valley Forge Way and Millich Drive. A man was passed out in his vehicle, which was parked illegally. He was too intoxicated to care for himself and was arrested and booked.
DISCHARGING FIREARM WITH GROSS NEGLIGENCE: 100 block of Wilton Drive A man said his father had shot himself in the knee while cleaning his gun. The father was transported to hospital for medical treatment.
ARSON: East Campbell Avenue and Civic Center Drive. A man lit a brushfire. He was stopped and subsequently arrested. He was also charged as the suspect in a prior arson incident.
RETAIL THEFT: 1700 block of South Bascom Avenue. Two suspects entered an open business, walked through the store grabbing $2,864 worth of merchandise and concealed the products in their purse. They left the store without paying for the merchandise in their purses.
PETTY THEFT: 500 block of East Hamilton Avenue. A woman entered an open business, grabbed merchandise valued at $278.91 and exited the store without paying for the merchandise.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT: 1600 block of South Bascom Avenue. A man was under influence of alcohol on the sidewalk, with items scattered everywhere.
GRAND THEFT: 1700 block of South Bascom Avenue. A woman entered an open business and grabbed numerous pieces of merchandise valued at $1,533.26. She approached the cashier’s area and said she forgot her wallet in her vehicle. She fled the store without paying for the items and never returned.
Aug. 22
VEHICLE THEFT: 200 block of Kennedy Avenue. Surveillance footage showed someone gaining access to a vehicle and driving off.
ASSAULT WITH A DEADLY WEAPON: 500 block of East Hamilton Avenue. Two victims confronted a man about parking in a green Toyota Camry. He threatened to kill both victims and drove his vehicle up on the store sidewalk near them. He drove away, stopped and reversed toward the victims again with his vehicle. Another male got into the vehicle, and they fled eastbound.
BURGLARY: 200 block of East Hacienda Avenue. Someone used a hand tool to forcibly open a chain link fence surrounding a closed business, then fled after hearing the audible alarm. Damage is estimated at $1,000.
Aug. 23
BURGLARY: 800 block of Virginia Avenue. Someone forced entry into a vehicle and stole items.
PETTY THEFT: 2300 block of Winchester Boulevard. A man took a wine bottle from shelf and began drinking it inside the store without paying. The man had two active bench warrants for combined $30,000.
VEHICLE THEFT: 200 block of Virginia Avenue. A white 05 GMC Savanna was stolen.
RETAIL THEFT: 1500 block of West Campbell Avenue. Two suspect stole over $500 in fragrances.
ROBBERY: 500 block of East Hamilton Avenue. Two suspects filled a cart with clothing and left the store. The victim followed suspects, one of whom turned around and brandished a firearm.
UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE: 1300 block of Theresa Avenue. A man and a woman were contacted after reports of a domestic dispute. They were found to be under the influence of a controlled substance. The man was in possession of drug paraphernalia.
INTENT TO DEFRAUD: 800 block of West Hamilton Avenue. Someone passed a forged $100 bill to buy products. They were confronted by employees and fled in a tan sedan.
BURGLARY: 1700 block of South Bascom Avenue. Someone entered an open business, forced open display cabinets and stole approximately $5,000 worth of merchandise.
Aug. 24
BURGLARY: 2000 block of South Bascom Avenue. Someone forced open a locked rear door to exit, causing approximately $1700 in damage to the doors/door frames.
ANNOYING TELEPHONE CALLS: 500 block of West Campbell Avenue. The suspect contacted the victim repeatedly over the last couple weeks regarding a financial dispute and sent threatening messages.
BURGLARY: 200 block of Morrene Drive. Someone broke into the victim’s home while they were out of town for the night and stole a bracelet.
PETTY THEFT: 1800 block of South Bascom Avenue. Someone stole a purse containing the victim’s California ID, cash and debit card.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT: East Campbell Avenue and South Winchester Boulevard. A man was contacted after he was observed stumbling in the roadway. He was found to be too intoxicated to care for himself.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT: 700 block of Nido Drive. A woman was contacted near her residence and found to be too intoxicated to care for herself.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT: 1200 block of West Campbell Avenue. A man and a woman were causing a disturbance in the roadway and were found to be too intoxicated to care for themselves.
Aug. 25
BATTERY: 200 block of Echo Avenue. The suspect slapped the victim twice in the face during an argument.
UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE: 2200 block of Winchester Boulevard. A man contacted the emergency line, believing several individuals were stalking him. He was found to be under the influence of an opiate and placed under arrest. He was also in possession of heroine and a glass smoking pipe.
VANDALISM: 600 block of Millich Drive. Someone broke a bedroom window by shooting a BB pellet.
