HAYWARD – A 60-year-old man was killed in a stabbing Wednesday morning in Hayward, according to authorities.

Medical personnel were called to the 800 block of C Street around 6:45 a.m. for a report of an unconscious man, the Hayward Police Department said in a news release. They arrived to find a man who appeared to have been dead for several hours.
During an investigation, officers determined the man had been stabbed, according to police.
“There is no one in custody at this time,” police said. “This investigation is ongoing, and additional details will be released when they are available.”
The Alameda County Coroner’s Bureau will release the man’s identity after it is confirmed and his next of kin is notified.
The death marked the city’s 11th homicide of the year.
