The 2025 Lexus UX300h F Sport Hybrid AWD Crossover SUV

What is a UX300h? An UX300h is a compact crossover hybrid SUV built in the Miyawaka, Fukuoka, Japan assembly plant and sold worldwide by Lexus. The Lexus UX is a compact crossover that is only available as a hybrid vehicle. And as a hybrid, it’s the lowest priced Lexus there is, and the smallest crossover in the Lexus lineup as well.

The gas powered portion of the UX’s power train is still a 2.0 liter 4 cylinder engine, which pairs with two electric motors, and a CRV continuously variable automatic transmission. For the 2025 model year, the hybrid system output rises from 181 horsepower to 196 horsepower in the new UX300h model. A new hybrid transaxle and lightweight lithium-ion battery contribute to the higher output for the 2025 300h, providing more power, more performance and better gas mileage. The 2025 Lexus UX300h now gets 44 MPG in the city, 40 MPG highway and 42 MPG combined.

To showcase this new 2025 model, this week Lexus sent me an UX300h F Sport Hybrid SUV to test drive and review. The base window sticker price for this AWD F Sport Edition is $46,375. The options on the test SUV are: the wireless phone charging pad for $75, the head up display for $900, the premium paint for $595, and the black painted roof for $350. The manufactures suggested retail price (MSRP), including the $1,150 delivery fee is: $49,445.

After adding in the state and local sales tax, plus the DMV and dealers fees, the out the door and in your garage total purchase price came to: $55,626. At a little under $56 Grand, you get an entry level luxury SUV, with AWD, and a hybrid drive train. This UX300h qualifies as an electrified vehicle and you get to drive a Lexus for a lot less money than the competition. Plus, it has the F Sport option that looks great and adds just enough flash that makes it stand out from the crowd, all for $20,000 less than the base luxury class starting price of $75,000.

The F Sport Edition comes with NuLuxe trimmed heated and ventilated F Sport power front seats with drivers memory, a F Sport leather trimmed and heated steering wheel, aluminum scuff plates, a power adjustable steering column, an adaptive suspension system, 18″ F Sport alloy wheels, rain sensing windshield wipers, a tilt and sliding power moonroof, LED fog lights, LED cornering lamps, a power rear door with a kick open sensor, color keyed fender trim, a 12.3″ digital instrument cluster, parking assist, power folding and heated side view mirrors with memory, and a digital Lexus key.

Advanced technology includes the 3.0 Lexus Safety system, blind spot monitors, Lexus connected services on a 4G network, SiriusXM premium satellite radio, wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Audio, dual zone climate control, Bi-level LED head lights, LED tail lamps, black roof rails, folding rear seats and a pull out rear cargo cover.

Does the Lexus UX models hold their value? The new Lexus UX 300h is one of the best resale value vehicles among luxury hybrid SUVs. The UX 300h can retain up to 62 % of its value after 5 years, with an average used car sale price of around $27,724 for a clean 5 year old model. Good to buy, and great to sell, or trade in, when you’re ready to step up to another bigger and better Lexus SUV down the road.

Lexus is the luxury vehicle division of the Toyota Motor Car company, and their job is to bring luxury cars to market. With the UX300h hybrid starting price at around $36,000, Lexus will sell you a luxury car that costs well under the average sales transaction price of $48,800. So, why not drive one of the best, for less, than the average sale price?

Final thoughts:  How long do Lexus UX300h compact crossover hybrid SUV’s last? Typically, you will find that a Lexus UX will go around 200,000 to 300,000 miles, with a high mileage point at 250,000 miles and good mileage at 200,000 miles. That is a lot of great driving in a Lexus luxury SUV, for not a lot of money, in today’s automotive world.
