Los Angeles Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh and Washington Commanders tight end Zach Ertz will be inducted into the California High School Football Hall of Fame, the Rose Bowl Legacy Foundation and National Football Foundation announced on Thursday.
Harbaugh and Ertz are two of the 25 inductees in the 2024 class. It is the second California High School Football Hall of Fame class to be announced since its inaugural class of 113 inductees was announced last year.
This year’s class will be honored at the Nov. 30 game between Fresno State and UCLA at the Rose Bowl.
Before a successful playing and coaching career in college and in the NFL, Harbaugh played quarterback at Palo Alto High School and graduated from there in 1983. He went on to play at the University of Michigan and enjoyed a 14-year stint in the NFL.
He found most of his success on the sidelines where he recently won a national championship with Michigan. Before Michigan he made head coaching stops with the San Francisco 49ers, Stanford and the University of San Diego.
