‘Love Is Blind’s Hannah explains treatment of Nick amid backlash (EXCLUSIVE)

“Love Is Blind’s” Hannah Jiles is speaking out on the way she treated ex-fiancée Nick Dorka amid a significant social media backlash.

In the latest batch of episodes from the hit Netflix show, Hannah and Nick’s relationship quickly went south when the pair failed to see eye to eye on several issues including finances, household chores and marital responsibilities. But it was how those disagreements often ended in Hannah belittling the former athlete that upset viewers.

“I think I’m someone who just, like, when I see it, I address it.” Hannah explained to Daily News in an interview ahead of season 7’s premiere. “I’m very straightforward.”

The 27-year-old recalled noticing red flags she felt needed to be addressed at the time. “So, I was like, ‘I’m seeing things maybe that I don’t like, so I’m just going to let you know.’ It was such small things but I guess I just saw it as something that can be bigger so that’s why I just decided to address it right then and there. I didn’t want it to become a bigger issue.”

Hannah and Nick’s relationship started declining soon after they left the pods. In fact, she accidentally left out a detailed bullet point list of everything she doesn’t like about him. It was all downhill from there.

“I guess I just wrote it and I went away and didn’t even think about it,” she told The News. “If it’s in my head I just need to write it down. It’s like journaling and so I just left it out. It was an accident, but it happens you know?”

Now that the world has seen their split, Hannah says she “absolutely recognized” she could have handled their conflicts better.

“If I’m still seeing all these issues and I’m just being mean to this man, I feel like I’m just dogging on this man, this is probably not someone that I want to be married to,” she told People. “It just all came to [this] realization, we shouldn’t be together.”

“By the end of it, I was like, ‘At this point, I don’t have anything nice to say. I’m just saying mean things and that’s cruel to him. And it’s cruel to me as well, like what am I doing? We’re just bringing out the worst in each other,” she recalls. “Watching it back, it’s a lot. The way I acted was very cruel and it was very demeaning towards him. I wish I didn’t do it in that way.”

In the end, the duo opted out of attending the bridal gown appointment with the rest of the cast after reaching a “breaking point.”

“I think for me, it just came down to: I saw my friends with him, my family was there, and I just had a moment where I was kind of like, what am I doing?”

The “Love Is Blind” season 7 finale airs Oct. 23 on Netflix.
