SAN JOSE – Apparently ready to play games again, forward Thomas Bordeleau and defenseman Shakir Mukhamadullin were assigned by the San Jose Sharks to the San Jose Barracuda on Tuesday.
Neither Bordeleau or Mukhamadullin played in the preseason, as Bordeleau (lower body) was injured early in training camp, and Mukhamadullin (lower body) was hurt in mid-September before Sharks prospects took part in the Rookie Faceoff in Los Angeles.
Both players had been skating together away from the Sharks for over a week, as Bordeleau had been on injured reserve, and Mukhamadullin was considered a non-roster player.
The Barracuda practiced Tuesday in San Jose and will play the Henderson Silver Knights in Southern Nevada on Wednesday and Friday.
