SAN JOSE – Crews on Friday afternoon were battling a two-alarm residential fire in San Jose, authorities said.

The fire was reported around 2:50 p.m. in the 1800 block of Stowe Avenue and spread to a second home in the 100 block of Heller Place, according to the San Jose Fire Department.
One injury was reported.
The fire department is asking people to avoid the area.
